International Motorcycle Show

November 2005

I had the opportunity to work the International Motorcycle show for the VRCC (Valkyrie Motorcycle Riders Cruiser Club).
We were selling raffle tickets for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Research Foundation. I jumped on the chance and actually had a wonderful time selling tickets for a 1965 Honda. I met so many people young and old and got to talk Honda's with them!!

Tabytha actually tried her hand in selling a few as well. Got a free t-shirt and into the show for free. The girls walked around and grabbed some shots of bikes while I was working my shift. After 200 we went and had lunch and then I got to tour the bikes!!

Kawasaki

Kawasaki had a couple nice customized cruisers....

This is Kawasaki's Vulcan 2000. Man that is an ugly abortion of a chrome blob on the front!!

Suzuki

Suzukis new line of Boulevard M109R is what I really wanted to see....I sat on a few of them and they were not as wide in the craw as the Yamaha Warrior I sat on when they came out. I would like to ride one of these and see what I really think of them.

The black one was nice....

Look at that...you can see both the cruiser and sport bike in this shot.

Motoguzzi

The Motoguzzi is a strange looking bike indeed. Just doesn't look quite finished to me, that or
that is has already been in a collision..

Victory

This Victory had a nice custom paint job. Looked really sharp. Nice guy in the Victory area gave
me a tour of the different models since I wasn't really familiar with them. I was disappointed to see that
upon a closer inspection you could see they were having to wipe the oil off of the engine due to leaks.
I wouldn't have put a leaky bike in a show...fix the darn thing first!!

Yamaha

Another one I wanted to see up close was the Stratoliner cruiser line up.  This one looked nice on the platform.
Again though, a very bulky headlight assembly. I suppose they must have stuff all the electronics or wiring
up in there!! Nice classic solo cruiser look to it though.

Customs

I have no idea what this one is.  Nice look though.

OCC had their Liberty bike on display. Cool to see it up close.

Here is something with a nice custom paint job. Cannot remember where I took this shot.

Classics

Here is a neat old Triump cafe racer. Check out the heavy metal flake paint!! Very cool!

The local VJMC group was there with some of their local riders bikes.  I think this is a CB160,
looks like an old Superhawk.

Now this is sweet, an Old Norton to die for!!

Now this....this just had me in AWE!!! A rare inline 4 cylinder Indian Chief from the 40's. They
are supposedly raffling this bike off from a museum to raise money. I am making room for it in the
garage just in case....I bought one ticket!!
