What ever you want to call it, it looks hot on the Honda Shadows....
Since I had installed this piece of art on my 02' VT1100 Shadow Spirit, I have had numerous inquiries as to where I got it, what do they call it, how much was it, and how much modification does it take to mount it? It is well about tie that I got this page up so I can just refer everyone to the link. I just had no desire to remove it and take pictures but the recent fender modifications required its removal (which is easily done) and so I snapped off some shots or the trimming required.
I spent the better part of an afternoon trimming, installing, trimming, installing, trimming, etc... until I got this thing to fit up under the bike and closer to the radiator like I wanted it. It is a universal fit unit that uses u-bolts and brackets to clamp it around the frame downtubes.

Now...look closely at the picture above and see how far back the top sides go. You want to see the amount of trimming I had to do to get this to slide over and around the brake pedal and foot peg mounts. I have to admit, it looks really ugly off the bike, but when on the bike you cannot see these cuts as it fits so tight and up under the components.
In addition to trimmiing this thing down and obliterating the existing mounting holes on the top part, I had to drill new holes for the brackets that you can see mounted up above, and the u-bolt mounts down below at the ends.
So in closing, this is what you are going to have to do to get this Universal scoop/spoiler to fit on your Shadow. I can make a paper pattern of this scoop and send it to you and you can then tape it to your scoop to trace the cut lines and drill holes. Just Paypal me $7 to cover mailing and materials.
