Light Install

My lights arrived from Canada and the purported snail mail was just that. But they are here nonetheless! They look good, steel casing, chrome plated, clear lenses. I hadn't realized how they would make the Shadow headlight so small though! Guess I was picturing the Harleys with the three lights and I guess a 7" center headlight. But they look good. Now on with the install...

The clamps that came with the light bar as mentioned previously are heavier gauge than I expected and they even have an Allen screw in them to help hold them in place. See Picture #3 below.

Remove the hardware stack up from the light (nut, internal toothed locking washer, and a flat washer). Thread the light wire and stem through the bar clamp followed by the flat/lock washer/nut. See Picture #4 below.

Hand tighten the hardware enough to keep the clamp secure to the light. Using an Allen Wrench back the threaded insert out til it is not protruding into the bar chamber.

Slide the clamp and light onto the light bar. I slid it on until the clamp just cleared the end cap as shown in Picture #6. On one side I had to use a rubber mallet to finish sliding it up.

Check the positioning next to the headlight and rotate the bracket if needed until it is level. The thing I like about this light bar is that it places the lights close to the headlight. I don't really care for the lights that are like 2 inches away from the headlight and leaves those big gaps. Once you have them where you want them, tighten the Allen Head screw and the light hardware with a 9/16 open end wrench. See Picture #7 and #8.
