Now you are ready to install the new VTX headlamp. Drop the
previously removed bulb into the new VTX Headlamp.
It can only go in one way due to the three tabs on the sides. The centered Tab
goes to the top of the new headlamp (UP).
Push down and latch the retaining clip as shown in Picture #19.

Slide the boot over the bulb as shown in Picture #20.

Next, you will need to remove the stock bushings located
underneath the stock case. See Picture #21.
You can easily do this using your fingers to pry one side out. On both of mine
the inner sleeve came out with the first side removed.

Picture #21. Removing Stock Bushings
Picture #22 shows what these bushings look like when removed.

Picture #22. Bushings
Slide the bushings into the new housing as shown in Picture
#23. Press them together using fingers.
I had to spit on one of these as it kept hanging up under the tension.

Picture #23. Installing Stock Bushings into New VTX Housing.
Slide the new VTX Housing into the stock bracket on the bike. Refer to Picture #24.

Picture #24. Installing new VTX Housing
Reinsert the two 10mm bolts previously removed from the bracket. See picture #25.

Below is the stock housing mounted to the bike.

Picture #26. VTX Housing Mounted
Pull the socket through the back of the VTX housing as shown in Picture #27.

Picture #27. Pulling Socket Into Housing
A retaining lip is located on the bottom of the rim on the new
VTX housing as shown previously.
Hook this retaining latch into the case and reach inside to plug the socket onto
the bulb.
Next fold the top of the assembly into the case and check alignment of the Stay
A screw holes with the Rim holes.
This is where I first started encountering problems. The fitment wasn't real
good here. I had to remove the Stay A
bracket about 4-5 times to bend the tabs out a bit until I could get the holes
lined up.
Insert the remaining two 90380-GE2-760 chrome screws as shown in Picture #28.

Picture #28. Inside Rim Screws
Below is a before and after comparison from the front. See how
much larger this thing is?
I love the results as I knew I would after seeing other online buddies
with it on their bikes. I will have to get it out at night and
see how it lights up the road. Any beam adjustments can be made through two
slots in the bottom of the Rim.
